The Biggest Shock Is Yet To Come?

The not-so-grand finale to GH's cast shake-up may star no less than Tamara Braun, who has lived on the front burner since taking over the role of Carly in May 2001. With her original GH deal running out, Braun has been having, one source says, "a terribly difficult time" deciding whether or not to re-sign. What's on the table? Among other things, In Depth hears that she is longing to for growth from her alter ego. As the actress herself noted during the sizzling onset of the Carly/Alcazar pairing, "Carly needs something outside of the relationship with Sonny." In the end, the temptation to try other roles could lead her away from soaps. "It's all about following your passion," she told us a few weeks ago.

well tamara braun is my very favorite soap star if you do leave i will miss you very much. tamara you are the reason i watch general hospital. your attitude is the most wonderful i have ever seen. i hope you decide to stay, but if you do leave i will watch you wherever you go or whatever you do. so please keep your loyal fans well updated on whatever you may do thanx for listening. sheelah
