GH's Carly: Who's Next?

When Tamara Braun leaves the role of GH's Carly in April, ABC has confirmed the show will recast the character. A spokesperson says it's "premature" to comment on who it may be.
Of course there is already buzz about possible contenders - including Sarah Brown, who originated the part, and Gina Tognoni. Last November, Brown denied reports that she was returning to GH. "That's completely erroneous,' she said. "I'm not going anywhere but back to Los Angels and hitting pilot season."
Since then, Brown has returned to the West Coast. In January, she was spotted talking to her former GH co-stars - and Brian Frons, president of ABC Daytime - At SOAPnet's 5th anniversary party. As for Tognoni, the actress joined GL last year and signed a three-year contract that reportedly has outs. A GL insider dismisses the rumors of Tognoni leaving, adding, :The show loves Gina and has a huge storyline planned for her."
No matter who is chosen to take over for Braun the departing actress has this advice: "Go in and do your job and do it to the best of your ability. And as difficult as it is, to not listen to the negativity. You are a different person from me. you will bring different things to Carly and it will be wonderful."
