BRAUN STILL ON FENCE

Tamara Braun is setting the record straight about her future with General Hospital. The actress, whose three-year contract expires in a few weeks, still hasn't made a decision on whether she'll vacate her role as Carly Corinthos. Braun, who admits that she's interested in other projects, is currently in talks to stay in Port Charles. "As an actor, you have aspirations to do a lot," she shares, but doesn't feel that a longer engagement on GH would "prohibit me completely from doing those things." Braun does reveal what would hasten her exit: "I have no interest in playing a character that doesn't grow," she declares, "especially on a soap, since you see the person every day." However, the Emmy-nominated actress stresses: "For now, I'm happy where I am." Rumors continue to escalate about whether Sarah Brown, who ends her run as As the World Turns' happy homewrecker Julia in March, would return to GH to reprise Carly if Braun chooses to leave. "No comment," retorts a GH rep.
