Thumbs Up!! Grand Dad

For years, the drama surrounding Carly has been driven by her marriage to Sonny and his mob ties. Although the stories have b en riveting and propelled Tamara Braun (Carly) to leading-lady status, they have been more about Sonny than Carly. But Carly's quest to get to know her long-lost father has subtly shifted focus to her.
The tale is timely and logical. Carly is all-too-familiar paternity puzzles- the most recent involved Sonny's offspring- so it is believable that she is curious about her own bloodline.

In a clever move, the scribes made Carly's father Durant, a federal prosecutor (gulp!). Her fearlessness is well-established, but this development allows Braun to express her character's vulnerability and uncertainty. Is Durant interested in Carly or in bagging gangster Sonny?

We love Carly and Sonny's tumultuous romance, however, adding Carly's father to the mix has created a tale with snap, crackle...and Pop!
